Our Impact

The mission for H.O.P.E. Through Divine Intervention, Inc. (HTDI) is Helping Other People Excel by providing quality, affordable, and safe housing options for low to moderate income individuals and families who may be coping with special needs, such as HIV/AIDS, mental health, physical disabilities and substance abuse related issues. HTDI has an established continuum of supportive services designed to move program participants from homelessness to housing self-sufficiency. The HTDI service-enriched housing program transitions clients with the support and care to independent living. Our supportive services address the needs of participants by providing access to tools, resources, and supports needed for optimal stability.

To date, HTDI has seen its service capacity increase some 300%. Our successes reflect a unique approach that blends tested and true practices with cutting edge innovation. 100% of HTDI housing consumers participate in housing and supportive services. These services are case and peer management, substance abuse and mental health treatment services and linkages to care for other health and behavior related issues. 85% of the HTDI consumers move into independent housing within the 24 months of residence. Many participants continue attending aftercare workshops after leaving the housing agency. When residents are empowered through comprehensive treatment, counseling and education services, many barriers to maintaining housing can be overcome.

Over the years, HTDI has expanded our reach in order to meet individuals and families where they are, including community development of quality, affordable, and safe housing and homeownership options. These programs are designed to pool the resources of our partners for the benefit of the people we serve. HTDI has also partnered with local food banks to provide meals and food boxes to low income families and seniors. We have also partnered with the Toys for Tots program to provide toys and gifts to low income children and families. Another viable program is Job Training/Job Placement. We partner with several companies and do client matching for training programs and offer referrals to partner businesses for our clientele.

HTDI is committed to Helping Other People Excel by responding to the immediate needs of those seeking assistance by offering "Hope" to those in need. Our programs empower them to "do better" in all aspects of their lives. HTDI seeks to increase our supporters, funding sources, collaborative partners and stakeholders in the community as a part of our ongoing initiative to advance solutions that empower quality housing and supportive services as platforms to eradicate homelessness, improve the lives of the most vulnerable people, maximize public and private resources, and build healthy communities.
