We believe homelessness is solvable and preventable. HTDI is committed to advancing solutions that empower quality housing and supportive services as platforms to eradicate homelessness, improve the lives of the most vulnerable people, maximize public and private resources, and build healthy communities. These solutions can serve as a catalyst for positive change in the Metro Atlanta Area, other states, and eventually across the nation. We are powered and united by the vision where every individual and family have a quality, affordable, and safe place to live, in healthy, economically sound and supportive communities. At the core of everything we do is the idea of individual and community empowerment, of Helping Other People Excel. In pursuing our work, we strive to live up to and put into action the fundamental HTDI Core Values, guiding our efforts, for "Empowering and Changing the way people live...one individual...one family at a time."

Jake Curtis
Co-Founder
Director and Consumer Advocate

Jake believes that every person should have a place to call home. Jake is expanding the reach of the organization by partnering, with broker agencies, to provide HTDI Non-Emergency Medical Transportation. This benefit provided by HTDI will create jobs and provide a much needed service to the community. Jake, an honorable military veteran, sets an example for the goals and values of the organization, and prides himself on creating respectful, working relationships that promote a great environment for our consumers to excel. Selina Beene
Co-Founder
Executive Director

Selina is a visionary whose motto is "WHEN PEOPLE LIVE BETTER, THEY DO BETTER". Selina is a tenacious leader who manages HTDI's fundraising efforts, project and program development, and the overall strategic direction of the organization. As Executive Director, Selina serves as the primary contact with funding agencies, supporters, collaborative partners, and reporting to the HTDI Board of Directors. She is the life-blood of HTDI, working tirelessly to ensure that HTDI fulfills its mission of Helping Other People Excel, and keeping "Hope Alive!" You can reach Selina at bselina@htdi.org.

Transparency and integrity are crucial to the feasibility and success of our work at H.O.P.E. Through Divine Intervention, Inc. (HTDI). Our Board of Directors helps ensure that we operate at the highest levels of our fundamental core values of: Integrity, Empowerment, Excellence, Community, Good Stewardship and Helping Other People Excel. Through their involvement and competent steering, HTDI remains on track to accomplish our mission, vision, goals and objectives.

Anthony Mitchell

Chairman

Anthony oversees all homeowner, homebuyer, and foreclosure prevention services offered by IMPACT! Under his leadership, IMPACT!'s HomeOwnership Center has become one of Atlanta's most prominent foreclosure prevention and homebuyer education providers, receiving both local and national media attention. He previously served as Director of Community Development for Panama City, Florida and was Housing Program Supervisor for DeKalb County, Georgia. While at IMPACT!, Anthony has helped pioneer a number of novel private-public-nonprofit initiatives to better improve the lives of all Georgia homeowners.

Ronald Sheppard

Vice Chair

Ron is an accomplished professional in Real Estate and honored Chief Warrant Officer Four U.S. Army (Retired). In Real Estate Ron's in-depth experience includes specialized training in Real Estate Practices, Economics, Financing, Property Management, Legal Aspects, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investments, Exchanges, Taxation, and Creative Financing. While proudly serving our country as an aviator, Ron was responsible for Aviation and Airfield Safety, Personnel Records Management and Staffing, and assisting in daily Airfield Operations. Ron is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a BS in Aviation Management and an AS in Aviation Safety. Ron is proud to be a board member of Hope Through Divine Intervention, Inc. (HTDI).

Kimberly Davis

Secretary

Kimberly is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and graduate from Georgia State University. As an Environmental Educational Specialist at the City of Atlanta, she loves working with people of all ages and providing information about taking sustainable measures for our environment. Committed to helping others, she volunteers at her church's Food Bank, the Boys and Girls Club, community clean-ups and Trinity Feeding (homeless community). A board member since 2004, Kimberly believes, "being a Board member of HTDI has been a blessing and a pleasure to help men and families of addiction get a second chance. Today they stand as a very respected and proven organization. Jake Curtis and Selina Beene get the job done!"

Patricia Jackson

Treasurer

Patricia is a consummate financial professional. For the last fifteen years she has been with Philips Healthcare in the Metro Atlanta Area as an administrator. Prior to joining Philips Healthcare, she was with the Georgia Society of CPAs as an accountant. For several years, she has served as Treasurer on HTDI's Board of Directors. Her passion for "Helping Other People Excel" is also demonstrated by her volunteer work with today's youth, offering alternatives to incarceration, and preventing sentencing of youth offenders.

W. Dexter Henry

W. Dexter Henry Dexter has been a dynamic board participant for over ten years. He is a retired, 24 year veteran with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office in Atlanta, Georgia. While there he served as Deputy Sheriff and in several other capacities. As a principal with Dyvian's Security Consultants Group for the last 15 years he manages the company's day to day operating activities.

Anthony Singletary

Anthony has been a valuable asset on the board for the last ten years. Recently retired from the Atlanta Police Department, he served in several capacities during his time there, including Executive Protection, SWAT, homicide, intelligence, burglary and narcotics. Prior to his time there, he worked at IBM for 11 years as a Senior Administrative Specialist and Supervisor. Mr. Singletary is passionate about helping others and enjoys giving back.

Indonesia Anthony Wilson

Indonesia is highly committed to helping others. Her endeavors include mission trips to Leon, Nicaragua, as well as, local outreach projects with feeding the homeless. She is a volunteer with several organizations including: Maximum Impact Love, an outreach ministry that services over hundreds of homeless men, women and children, and Blossoming Vines Ministry, which encourages and empowers the Divine Purpose in women. Indonesia was conferred the Doctor of Ministry degree, has earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Project Management, and received a Bachelor of Art degree in Mathematics. She holds the title of Associate Director of Distance Learning at a local seminary in Atlanta, Georgia.

Aydra Worrell

Aydra has been an Accounting Assistant at Ben Hill United Methodist Church for the last nine years. Previously she was with Georgia Pacific as a Workers Compensation Clerk for three years. A board member since 2005, her decision to continue her education was strongly influenced by the HTDI board; she received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2014. She also supports the valuable community services provided by HTDI, including helping people rebuild their individual lives, and aiding hard to serve populations.

Eddie Compton

Eddie is currently enjoying a satisfying retired life. Prior to retirement, he worked in a variety of capacities during his professional career. For three years he was a top salesman with Honda where he consistently received recognition for sales excellence. Earlier in his career, Eddie was with Cluett Peabody in Atlanta, a clothing design company, for 13 years as a supervisor in the IT department. A devoted board member since it's inception in 2001, Eddie was introduced to HTDI by founder, Jake Curtis. He was extremely impressed with its mission to "help others that are down and trying to improve their quality of life."
